Recently, accumulating evidence has suggested that visfatin may be a complementary diagnostic and prognostic marker for malignancies, especially those that are strongly related to dysfunctional adipose tissue, such as breast cancer (Rajput et al., 2022), colorectal cancer (Zhao et al., 2020), and endometrial cancer (Mu et al., 2012).
