In preclinical models of mesothelioma (Gabrielson et al., 2001), as well as in renal (Horiguchi et al., 2008), lung (Relat et al., 2012), and prostate cancer (Zadra et al., 2019) it has been shown how FASN inhibition was able to modulate the proliferation and to induce apoptosis in cancer cells. This evidence concerns the gene FASN and prostate carcinoma.
