In the crude model, participants who were in the highest tertiles of BCAAs (OR = 2.58; 95% CI: 1.67–3.99, P for trend = < 0.001)), AAAs (OR = 2.58; %95CI: 1.67–3.99, P for trend = < 0.001)) and SAAs (OR = 2.77; 95% CI: 1.78–4.31, P for trend = < 0.001)) intakes had a higher odd of NAFLD compared to those in the lowest tertile. This evidence concerns the gene PCSK1N and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
