We next analyzed the correlation between MCM8 protein expression and clinical outcomes and found that high MCM8 protein level was positively associated with worse TNM staging (P=0.002), vascular invasion (P=0.043), high recurrence rate (P=0.026) and death rate (P=0.002), whereas not associated with age, gender, tumor size, tumor grade, serum AFP level, tumor location, tumor differentiation, etc. (Table 1). The gene discussed is AFP; the disease is neoplasm.
