The findings demonstrated that although S100B was only correlated with the affected BSA in active vitiligo (r =0.60, P <0.001) (Figures 4B, E), HMGB1 was associated with the vitiligo severity in both the stable and active stages (stable phase, r=0.60, P <0.001; active phase, r=0.50, P <0.001) (Figures 4D, G). This evidence concerns the gene HMGB1 and vitiligo.
