C9 and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma: For example, we found complement cascade reactions, e.g. “C5b:C6:C7 translocates to the plasma membrane” (Figure 5A), significantly perturbed in 12 HNSCC samples (FDR = 2.8·10−3) through mutations affecting five genes (i.e.C8A,C9,C6,C8B,C8G), which are predicted to disable the interaction with binding partners (Figure 5B).
