Extracts from Atractylodis Rhizoma (a folk medicine made of the dried rhizome of Atractylodes lancea [Thunb.] DC [Aster]) significantly attenuated the symptoms of colitis by reducing the levels of inflammatory cytokines and inhibiting the phosphorylation of proteins in the MAPK and NF-κB signaling pathways (Lin et al., 2022). This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and colitis.
