For the CD140α marker, also known as PDGFRα, which is widely expressed in the brain but often amplified and/or overexpressed in brain cancer cell lines (36, 45, 46), our analysis showed that it was specifically associated with the H3.3G34R histone alteration of the hemispheric subgroup (Figures 4A, B). The gene discussed is PDGFRA; the disease is brain cancer.
