IGF1 and acromegaly: In female patients, elevated IGF-1 was associated with an increased risk of IVS thickening in the following groups: 18–44 years (OR, 1.018; 95% CI, 1.004–1.039; P < 0.05), 45–59 years (OR, 1.005; 95% CI, 1.002–1.009; P < 0.01), and absence of acromegaly (OR, 1.003; 95% CI, 1.001–1.006; P < 0.01).
