DFMO is an irreversible inhibitor of ODC that is already used to combat cancers, including neuroblastoma, human acute T lymphoblastic leukemia, and malignant glioma.[49] DFMO has also been used in the management of cardiovascular diseases, such as attenuating isoproterenol‐induced cardiac hypertrophy and protecting the blood–brain barrier.[50] However, there are few reports of DFMO in the aorta. The gene discussed is ODC1; the disease is malignant glioma.
