Analysis of covariance for the association of vessel diameter to the relative amount of nodular calcification and sheet calcification along with other confounding factors; age, gender, BMI, smoking, hypertension, diabetes, GFR, and hs-CRP showed that the area proportion of nodular calcification associated significantly to the vessel diameter (F = 5.700, p < 0.05), however, sheet calcification association was non-significant (F = 2.43, p = 0.626, Table 2). Here, CRP is linked to hypertensive disorder.
