The aim of this study was to determine whether hypercortisolism affects the concentrations of fetuin A, FABP4 and RBP4 and to assess their association with established biomarkers of cardiovascular disease and diabetes, including lipid profile, glycated haemoglobin, homeostatic model assessment-insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) and Systematic Coronary Risk Evaluation (SCORE and SCORE2). Here, RBP4 is linked to diabetes mellitus.
