NFKB1 and viral infectious disease: STAT1/2, cGAS, and IRF1, 3, 7, and 9 function as the adaptors or transcription factors of innate immunity, which play critical roles in the activation of the NF-κB signaling pathway and cGAS/STING and RIG-Ι/MDA-5 signaling pathways, respectively, thus playing a positive role in the regulation of the IFN signaling pathway in response to viral infections.
