Using the time-to-event method to evaluate the impacts of these factors on HCC development, the univariate Cox regression results showed significant crude HRs of 1.74, 1.55, 2.33, 1.51, and 1.72 for platelets < 150, AFP ≥ 20, and FIB-4 ≥ 4.1, having DM and HBsAg-HQ ≤ 3, respectively, compared with their counterpart conditions. The gene discussed is AFP; the disease is diabetes mellitus.
