CD8A and COVID-19: Considering the importance of the CD8+ T cells and MHC class I’s role in antigen presentation to these cells in the pathogenesis of SAT, the A*11-B*35-C*04 haplotype including all three loci of MHC class I genes, which is found to be associated with the disease for the first time, especially in the V-SAT group in our study, will contribute both to a better understanding of the etiopathogenesis of SARS-CoV-2 vaccine-associated SAT and the role of HLA genotypes in the functioning mechanisms of the COVID-19 vaccines.
