MYC and nasopharyngeal carcinoma: In the nasopharyngeal cancer cell lines, C666-1, CNE-1, CNE-2, and HONE-1, ApoG2 inhibited c-Myc expression through increased p21 and inactivation of cyclin D1 and cyclin E. Additionally, ApoG2 promoted cell cycle arrest in the S phase through inhibition of c-Myc and its downstream regulators.
