The BMI, waist and hip circumference, waist/hip ratio, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, HbA1c, fasting plasma glucose and insulin, HOMA-IR, plasma LDL-cholesterol, plasma triglycerides, and liver enzymes were significantly higher among people in the cluster NASH as compared with those in the cluster NO-NASH, while age, diabetes duration and plasma HDL-cholesterol values were significantly lower. This evidence concerns the gene INS and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis.
