By analyzing the methylation profiles, the methylation status of the ADAM17 promoter in BLCA, READ, and THCA tumor tissues was distinctly lower than in adjacent normal tissues, whereas its methylation status was higher in BRCA, KIRC, KIRP, LUSC, PAAD, PRAD, SARC, and SKCM tumor tissues. Here, ADAM17 is linked to bladder transitional cell carcinoma.
