The three AchE inhibitors most commonly prescribed are donepezil (Aricept®: approved to treat all stages of AD), rivastigmine (Exelon®: approved for mild-to-moderate Alzheimer’s as well as mild-to-moderate dementia associated with Parkinson’s disease), and galantamine (Razadyne® or Reminyl®: approved for mild-to-moderate stages of AD), which were approved in 1996, 2000, and 2001, respectively [94].
