Severe eosinopenia at admission was associated with a higher neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) (7.66 vs. 6.07; p < 0.001), a lower lymphocyte count (p < 0.001) with a CD4+ lymphopenia (486/mm3 vs. 682/mm3; p = 0.001), and a higher platelet count (p < 0.001).
