TP53 and ovarian cancer: In patients with reversion mutations, 7 of the 14 (50%) TP53 mutations were gain-of-function (GOF), while only 19 of 84 (23%) TP53 mutations in the control group were GOF (p = 0.048), suggesting that BRCA reversion events may be a more plausible resistance mechanism in the context of TP53 GOF mutant ovarian cancer.
