CRP and Sepsis: The aim of this study was to evaluate the ability of these two biomarkers, measured via a POCT at the time of the patient’s arrival in the ED, to predict mortality at 30 days and to compare them with classical scores (e.g., SOFA, qSOFA) and biomarkers of sepsis, e.g., procalcitonin (PCT) and C-reactive protein (CRP).
