Through statistical analysis, we found that the BMI, the luteinizing hormone (LH)/follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) ratio, the basal level of total testosterone (TT), and the number of ovulation-promoting > 14 mm follicles were significantly different between the PCOS groups and the control group, and the difference was more significant in the PCOS group with the SV than in the PCOS group without the SV (Table 1). The gene discussed is PLOD1; the disease is polycystic ovary syndrome.
