SPRED1 and spinal cord injury: miR-126, another abundant endothelial miRNA, inhibits vascular inflammation by targeting the Sprouty-related EVH1 domain-containing protein 1 (SPRED1), phosphoinositol-3 kinase regulatory subunit 2 (PIK3R2), and vascular cell adhesion molecule 1 (VCAM1) in spinal cord injury (SCI), and miR-126 therapy could be used as a potential therapeutic approach in recovery after contusion in SCI [73].
