TNF and arthritic joint disease: In relation to the control groups, better results were achieved in all combinations, except for SJC, TNF-alpha level, and DAS28-ESR, in the study of Ormseth et al. The results of animal studies on the temporomandibular joints and on patients with rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis indicate that the drug in question may have potential to treat arthritis, including within the temporomandibular joint.
