TNF and Timothy syndrome: In the present study, we observed a significant correlation between linear and planar anisotropy (CL and CP) with the inflammatory cell infiltration (CD3, CD4, CD8, and CD68), the total number of inflammatory cells, and proinflammatory cytokines (TNF-α and IL-1β) expression on these cells suggesting that the increased cellular infiltration along the synovial membrane may have resulted in the increase in both CL and CP in tuberculous synovitis (TS) as compared to non-tubercular inflammatory synovitis (non-TS) cases.
