Consistently, we have shown that overexpressing SCAND1 and MZF1 form oligomers in chromatin and bind to an MZF1-binding site in the promoter region of CDC37 gene, and hetero-oligomers of SCAND1 and MZF1 can repress CDC37 gene expression in prostate cancer [28].
