DMR hypermethylation in high-grade meningiomas concerned important genes of neural development, such as CALCB (CpGs spanning 770 bp, 28% AMD), PAX6 (DMRs interspersed by 4.6 Kb and associated with alternative transcription start sites: (i) 15 CpGs, 2.76 kb, 27% AMD; and (ii) 9 CpGs, 1.21 kb, 17% AMD), the PCDH gene clusters (3 CpGs, 374 bp, 18% AMD), and WNK2 (8 CpGs, 1169 bp, 25% AMD). The gene discussed is CALCB; the disease is meningioma.
