PGI2 has been described to act as an anti-metastatic mediator in lung cancer mouse models [13,14] and to suppress ovarian cancer cell invasion by MMP2/MMP9 downregulation in vitro [15], whereas other studies reported an association of PTGIS expression with reduced survival of breast and ovarian cancer patients [2,16]. The gene discussed is PTGIS; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
