In a joint analysis to investigate the combined association of AGER haplotypes and AGEs with the risk and prognosis of breast cancer, compared to haplotype CT (supposed to be the highest quartile of sRAGE) at Q1 of AGEs, haplotypes CT, CA, TT, and TA at Q3 and Q4 of AGEs were significantly associated with increased breast cancer risk gradually, particularly haplotype TA and TT at Q4 of AGEs (Figure 3B), but not with breast cancer prognosis (Figure S5). The gene discussed is AGER; the disease is breast carcinoma.
