HLA-G and kidney failure: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, exhaustion, anuria, and azotaemia. Measured by AAS, blood bismuth concentration was 590 μg/L. An abdominal radiograph showed opacification of the colon with bismuth. Evidence for proximal tubular damage in the pathogenesis of the renal failure was shown by glycosuria and a β2-microglobulin excretion.
