EIF4G1 and cancer: Figure 7b confirmed that the protein level of EIF4G1 was higher in the cancer specimens than in the non-cancerous breast tissues (p = 4.1 × 10−7). KM survival analysis (Figure 7c) suggested that patients with high expression of EIF4G1 had a short OS (HR = 4.13, p = 0.006). These results are consistent with the analysis of the training cohort and meta-validation set. There was no significant difference in the expression level of EIF4G1 among different clinical characteristics (Table S3).
