Considering that m1A can be converted to m6A by Dimroth rearrangement and nitrogen atom exchange in an alkaline environment, and the alteration of ALKBH1 was accompanied by dysregulated m6A modification, as evidenced by a previous study in lung cancer [24, 25], we attempted to assess whether the m6A level was also altered when the m1A status was modified by ALKBH1 in CRC. The gene discussed is ALKBH1; the disease is lung carcinoma.
