Several studies have explored the relationship between CD4 + cell counts and the incidence of TB, and in the study by Geremew et al. [28], the incidence of TB among HIV patients with baseline measured CD4 + cell counts < and > 200 cell/mm3 was 28.86% (95%CI 18.73–38.98%) and 13.7% (95%CI 1.41–25.98%), indicating the predictive role of CD4 + cell counts for TB. This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and tuberculosis.
