Recent evidence has shown that Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection is strongly associated with dyspepsia (Kim et al., 2017) which is likely related to Hp-induced gastric and duodenal mucosal inflammation and gastric acid secretion impairment (Hall et al., 2003; Vanheel et al., 2014; Burkitt et al., 2017). The gene discussed is HP; the disease is dyspepsia.
