CALM1 and cancer: Figure 4B shows the sequences and fragmentation patterns of 28-kDa heat- and acid-stable phosphoprotein (PDAP1) and calmodulin-1 (CALM1) proteoforms with either two phosphorylation sites or the combination of N-terminal acetylation and one lysine trimethylation. Those PTMs of the two proteins agree with the literature data (40, 41). Those two proteoforms were identified with high confidence and were well characterized in terms of PTMs. PDAP1 and CALM1 are both prognostic markers of cancer according to the Human Protein Atlas (www.proteinatlas.org/).
