Among patients with advanced liver fibrosis, those with Fuc-Hp ≥ 1700 relative unit, BMI ≥ 23 kg/m2, and albumin < 3.8 g/dL had a significantly higher incidence of HCC than patients not meeting these cutoffs, with a 25% incidence within 3 years and a 55% incidence within 4 years (Fig 4F). This evidence concerns the gene HP and hepatocellular carcinoma.
