Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism was found in 58.9% of the population, corticotropic insufficiency in 15.8%, and hypercorticism in one patient, reflecting a mixed secretion of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) and prolactin (PRL). Central hypothyroidism was found in 21 patients (22.1%), while one patient had a mixed PRL/TSH secretion. Here, POMC is linked to adrenal gland hyperfunction.
