The use of SGLT2 inhibitors was associated with a lower risk of gout (HR, 0.89; 95% CI, 0.82-0.96) compared with DPP4 inhibitors, particularly for patients receiving dapagliflozin (HR, 0.86; 95% CI, 0.78-0.95). The gene discussed is SLC5A2; the disease is gout.
