More importantly, consistent with our findings, FGF19 has been reported to be associated with the development of liver diseases, including HBV-related cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (Gorgoulis et al., 2000; Ahn et al., 2014; Raja et al., 2019), possibly via FGF19-FGFR4 pathway-related immune dysregulation (Repetto et al., 2021). The gene discussed is FGF19; the disease is liver disorder.
