Interestingly, various reports have demonstrated that the use of TNF antagonists and inhibitors increases (1) TB susceptibility, (2) reactivation of M. bovis and M. tuberculosis, (3) and risk of TB mortality in humans and cattle (Ehlers, 2003; Nager et al., 2009; Xie et al., 2014; Arbués et al., 2020). This evidence concerns the gene TNF and tuberculosis.
