ENC1 and lung cancer: Additionally, overexpression of ENC1 has been seen in breast carcinoma (Zhou et al., 2020; Li et al., 2021), ovarian cancer (Fan et al., 2019), lung cancer (Wu et al., 2021) and colorectal carcinoma (Cui et al., 2021b; a), suggesting that the gene may possess carcinogenic potential if overexpressed (Hammarsund et al., 2004).
