CAR-T cells targeting carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 5 (CEACAM5) used for the treatment of breast, gastric, colorectal, lung, ovarian, and pancreatic cancers induced acute respiratory toxicity, likely due to CEACAM5 expression on non-neoplastic lung epithelium [29]. Here, CEACAM5 is linked to familial pancreatic carcinoma.
