Compared to the control group, CD68 and CD163 protein expressions were higher in the MNS group 1 (CD68: 3.07 ± 0.18 vs. 1.88 ± 0.26, P < 0.01; CD163: 3.1 ± 0.24 vs. 1.67 ± 0.22, P < 0.01). This evidence concerns the gene CD68 and Melnick-Needles syndrome.
