Our previous study showed that the phosphorylation of MAPKs–Erk1/2 and p38 was curtailed by M. tuberculosis antigens in patients with TB, whereas in PPD+ve healthy individuals only Erk1/2 phosphorylation was inhibited, the inhibitory effect of secretory antigens of M. tuberculosis on the modulation of T-cell signaling pathways was also observed in this study (15). This evidence concerns the gene MAPK3 and tuberculosis.
