In univariable logistic regression analysis, we found IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8, IL-12, IL-17, IL-21, IL-32, and TNF-α were significantly associated with NAFLD [odds ratio (OR) = 1.13, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.09–1.16, P < 0.001; OR = 1.25, 95% CI: 1.18–1.33, P < 0.001; OR = 2.39, 95% CI: 1.91–3.00, P < 0.001; OR = 1.17, 95% CI: 1.12–1.22, P < 0.001; OR = 1.04, 95% CI: 1.03–1.06, P < 0.001; OR = 1.04, 95% CI: 1.03–1.06, P < 0.001, OR = 1.06, 95% CI: 1.04–1.08, P < 0.001; OR = 1.14, 95% CI: 1.10–1.18, P < 0.001, respectively). This evidence concerns the gene IL1B and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
