Gene expression profiling showed differential expression of various genes involved in inflammation including an induction of Interferon gamma (Ifng, 3.9 fold, p = 0.04), Interferon gamma receptor 1 (Ifngr1, 2.8 fold, p < 0.0001), Interferon gamma receptor 2 (Ifgr2, 3 fold, p = 0.0007), Janus kinase 1 (Jak1, 2.6 fold, p < 0.01) and Janus kinase 2 (Jak2, 2.7 fold, p = 0.002) in CRS mice compared to control. The gene discussed is IFNGR1; the disease is congenital rubella syndrome.
