FLT3 and acute myeloid leukemia: Additionally, in an open-label randomized trial of sorafenib versus no post-transplantation maintenance therapy in patients with FLT3-ITD–positive AML, Xuan et al. [8] demonstrated that post-transplantation sorafenib therapy was associated with significantly reduced 1-year cumulative incidence of relapse (HR, .25; 95% CI, .11 to .57; P=.0010) and superior OS (HR, .48; 95% CI, .27 to .86; P=.012) [8].
