The interferon-induced GTP-binding protein Mx1 (MX1), 2’-5’-oligoadenylate synthase 3 (OAS3), and interferon-induced protein with tetratricopeptide repeats 3 (IFIT3), which are important in the type I interferon signaling pathway (24–26), were significantly upregulated in SLE vs. both, with MX1 being the most upregulated protein. The gene discussed is IFIT3; the disease is systemic lupus erythematosus.
