High INS was strongly associated with male, poor physical condition (advanced age, low BMI, and low KPS), unhealthy lifestyle (smoking and drinking), advanced pathological stage, poor nutritional status (low RBC, low hemoglobin, low albumin, high PG-SGA, and cachexia), high inflammation status (high neutrophils, low lymphocytes, high platelets, and high CRP). This evidence concerns the gene ALB and Cachexia.
